An Update On Things

So as of late, I haven’t been very active when it comes to the Waffloid Server, my YouTube channel, or even Twitter. This is mainly because I haven’t been motivated to work on stuff such as recording new videos. The server seems to be fine on its own (special thanks to the mods) and there is still no 1.8 compatible build of Spigot out so we can’t update to 1.8 after over a month from its release.
When it comes to recording sessions I can be overly critical of the session after recording it. This is especially true when it comes to SpaceCraft, which is one reason why it seems to be dead at the moment. Lately I just haven’t had much interest in playing Minecraft survival, so I would rather not upload it than force myself to play it and have my commentary be affected by playing when I don’t want to. Same goes for pretty much anything else I’ve tried recording in the past 2-3 weeks, although series like Simburbia and Spore don’t have as high of a standard when it comes to recording as SpaceCraft does. Yesterday I recorded about an hour of Simburbia and after I finished recording I immediately knew the session was no good. I have been doing YouTube video game commentaries for almost 4 years, so I have a lot of experience to spot when something is off par. Thankfully I make backups of my worlds before recording so I can always re-record a session. 9 times out of 10 the same things that happen in the original recording don’t happen again in the re-recording, so that’s always a plus for authenticity.
I just feel like I need to take somewhat of a short break from YouTube, just to clear my head and to regain motivation for doing what I love. I still have quite a bit of Spore footage I can edit to cover for the next few days, but after that there may be a few days with no videos, so this should explain that. Also in recent weeks if I haven’t uploaded on some days, it’s thanks to my terrible sleep schedule which sometimes gets fixed and sometimes goes right back to being terrible lol.
TL;DR: Been feeling unmotivated to record videos and such for the past few weeks. Need to take a break from YouTube for a week or so to clear my head and regain motivation to bring you guys more awesome videos without them feeling forced and not genuine.
Edit: I may not have logged on to the server in a long time, but I still check the server console and live map every now and then just to see if anything may warrant me logging on to the server.
